How do I buy a DFW Product?

Through local distribution.

I have a box in the ground that says DFW; does that mean that your covers will interchange?

In most cases, our lid will interchange with a lid
marked DFW.

What is your standard shipping schedule?                

Stock items:  48 Hours

What is your standard freight policy?

Alliance:  Prepaid Freight on $3500.00 Net Order

Rotec:  Prepaid Freight on Full Truckload Order  OR Prepaid & Add Freight on Less Than Truckload

How do I choose which enclosure is best for my application?

Several variables are used including meter size
and the service location.

What options can I add to a DFW enclosure?

A current list is available online including AMR pad slots, locking mechanisms, and rebar.

Can I get a special name on the Lid?

Name branding requires minimum purchases.

How much does a special name insert cost?

$500 per insert per lid size.

How long does it take to run special names?

2-4 weeks after receipt of insert(s).

What colors can do the enclosures come in?

Standard Black, ICV Green, Reclaimed Purple, Blue, Gray, and Sand.

Is black color less expensive than other colors?

Black enclosures are our stock items and more economical than other colors.

Are your products traffic rated?

We offer several traffic rated products.

What does load rating H-10 and H-20 mean?

AASHTO  H10 (8,000 lbs) or H20 (16,000 lbs)

How are your lids tested?

Unrestrained loading using either a 10x10 plate for H10 loading or a 10x20 plate for H20 loading.

Can you make the larger boxes traffic rated?

We have some larger traffic rated products that are designed for non-deliberate and incidental traffic. 

Are your lids adjustable?

Our “E” series lids are designed to allow for field adjustments.

Do you have No Float Lids?

Yes, our "Anti-Float™" Lids are optional.

What is the difference between the Alliance Series and the Rotec Series?

The Alliance series products are injected molded, while the Rotec series products are rotationally molded.

Do your A Series lids interchange with other manufacturers?

Our overlap designed lids are interchangeable with a variety of manufacturers including Old Castle (Carson) and NDS.

Does the sun weaken the polymer used in Enclosures?

Our products are manufactured with resins that includes UV stabilizers for maximum protection against UV exposure degradation.

What does AMR mean?

Automatic Meter Reading

Can I get an AMR Lid that accommodates more than one endpoint?

We offer a wide range of options to accommodate various AMR endpoint styles

Which AMR endpoints do DFW lids accommodate?

Aclara, Badger, Datamatic, Envco (T2), Hexagram, Itron, Master Meter, Net Radio, Neptune, and Sensus.

Does rebar interfere with the signal?

Our lids that include rebar as an option have been tested and do not interfere with AMR radio frequency signals.

Does having the AMR under the lid reduce the signal strength?

Our lids do not interfere with the function of the AMR device

Do you make a version of the 16AMR in the C Series style?

Not at this time.

Do you make Enclosures with a bottom?                   

Our Rotec series offers boxes with molded bottoms.

Do you make a plumbed Yoke Box?

We are currently working on our version of a plumbed yoke box.

Does DFW produce Flexible Saddles?

We are currently designing an all-new DFW Flexible Saddle.
